Tom Fruin + SWOON Collaborations

As part of our curatorial services we create meaningful connections between artists and the private industry. In 2016, we helped real estate development firm Charney Companies secure commissions by Tom Fruin to design and subsequently install integrated lobby art for The Jackson LIC, a condominium building in Long Island City. We worked with the developer, architect and artist to create a lobby experience that has won awards and gotten critical acclaim in major design publications.

Following the Fruin partnership's success, Charney Companies once again partnered with SYB to engage Fruin to construct two murals for the commercial lobby of The Dime building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Additionally SYB helped secure Brooklyn-based street artist Swoon to think-up an incredible piece for the residential building's lobby and staying true to her roots, design a mural on Marcy avenue exterior of the building for all the world to see.
